How nightly pricing works
€269 is the everyday starting rate. The final price you see on the booking page adjusts for the season, the length of your stay, and your group size. Most families and friends booking a longer break end up with a per-person, per-night cost well below a comparable Porto hotel suite with breakfast. Everything is shown clearly before you confirm, no surprise fees once you’re on the page.
Meet your host
I’m Susan, the founder of Espais Roca and the person behind Villa Almada. Villa Almada is the private-villa side of our Porto property: a self-contained two-suite house with its own pool, sitting in the garden of our Canto de Luz Boutique Maison. We designed it for guests who wanted the freedom of a private home but still wanted the bits of a good hotel that families and friends actually use, like daily breakfast, daily cleaning, and a real person to ask for restaurant tips.
Too many guests told us they were fed up with sacrificing the luxuries they enjoyed as a couple once they started travelling as a family, or that “villa” usually meant “no service at all”. We knew both were possible.
What’s not in the price (so you can plan ahead)
- Daily breakfast and daily cleaning are included in the nightly rate, not added on later
- Private off-street paid parking is available in Porto, arranged on request
- A refundable security deposit is held during the stay and returned in full when you check out without issue
- City tourist tax is collected at check-in per Porto’s standard rate
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the €269 nightly rate the same all year?
No. Porto’s spring, summer and Christmas weeks are higher; January and February are the best value, and Porto in winter is genuinely lovely. See our winter Porto guide.
Are daily breakfast and cleaning included in the price?
Yes. Daily breakfast (served at the villa or in La Cuisine at the Canto de Luz Maison next door) and daily cleaning are both included in the nightly rate, not added on later.
Do you offer week-long discounts?
Yes. Longer stays have built-in reductions that apply automatically at the checkout.
Can we hold the dates while we check with the group?
Yes. Send a message through the contact page and we will hold the dates while you confirm with everyone.
Is the pool heated or open year-round?
The pool is open seasonally, typically mid-spring through autumn. In deep winter it is closed. Ask us about your specific dates when you book.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. A refundable security deposit is held during the stay and returned in full when you check out without issue.
Is parking available?
Private off-street paid parking can be arranged on request. Most guests find central Porto walkable enough that they do not need a car day-to-day.
How far is the airport?
Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is about 25 minutes by taxi. We can arrange a private transfer if it helps.
