A family villa in Porto with a private pool, two super-king suites, and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking with kids underfoot. Villa Almada is set up for families who don’t want to choose between a beautiful place and a practical one, in the garden of our Canto de Luz Boutique Maison right in the heart of Porto.
A pool you can actually relax around
The pool is private to Villa Almada, in your own garden, with no shared loungers and no fight for a sunbed. Younger children stay within view from the kitchen-living-diner, older kids can swim while the adults read on the terrace, and bedtime doesn’t mean the holiday’s over for the grown-ups, the pool is yours after the kids are asleep too.
Family-ready, not child-tolerant
- Two super-king suites, each ensuite, each configurable as two singles (so kids can share a room properly)
- Two baby cots and high chairs, plates and cutlery, available free
- Kids Netflix and OnDemand channels on the smart TV
- Toys, board games, an Xbox, and the popcorn machine that makes movie night feel like a holiday
- Blackout-friendly rooms (so toddlers settle and adults sleep in)
- Daily cleaning included, so the villa doesn’t feel like another house to run
Breakfast sorted
Daily breakfast is included in the rate, served at the villa or in La Cuisine in the Maison next door. That single feature is the one most family guests tell us made the holiday, nobody has to be the first one in the kitchen, nobody has to think about cereal, and small children eat properly before anyone has to be patient.
In the heart of Porto, walkable for small legs
Villa Almada is on Rua do Almada, right in the centre. Most of the things families come to Porto for are a walk away: Livraria Lello, the Clérigos tower, the riverside in Ribeira, the funicular up to São Bento. For longer days out, the metro stop is a short walk and the airport is 25 minutes by taxi. See our guide to top family-friendly activities in Porto for kids for what we recommend most.
Frequently asked, before you book
Are cots and high chairs provided?
Yes. Two baby cots and high chairs (plus plates and cutlery for toddlers) are available free with every family stay.
Is the pool fenced or supervised?
The pool is private to the villa and your group. There is no on-site supervision; parents should always supervise small children at the pool.
Are blackout blinds fitted in the bedrooms?
Each suite has blackout-friendly window dressings, so toddlers settle and adults can sleep in.
Can the super-king beds split into two singles?
Yes. Both suites can be configured as twin singles, which works well for siblings sharing a room.
