January and February are the best value of the year at Villa Almada, same villa, same pool (open seasonally), same daily breakfast, same daily cleaning, much lower nightly rate. Easter and October half-term are also softer than summer-peak weeks, and Christmas in Porto has a quiet charm with the lights up in the centre.

The pool is open seasonally. From mid-spring through autumn it’s the headline reason most guests book. In deep winter it’s closed, which we’d rather be straight about than wrap up.
